This September, Eddie Stoilow – one of the most played Czech bands on Czech radio – will embark on a European tour with the most successful Finnish band The Rasmus.
The 19-stop concert tour will open on September 30th in the German city of Hamburg and will end on October 24th in the Lucerna large hall in Prague. The tour will take place thanks to the newly established division of the Czech music label BrainZone International.
The most popular Finnish rock band The Rasmus gained global recognition in 2003 after releasing the breakthrough album “Dead Letters”, featuring mega-hits such as “The Shadows” or “First Day of My Life”. The critically acclaimed record sold more than 500 000 copies and received several platinum records. Worldwide, the band has sold a total of more than 5 000 000 records.
During the fall of 2019, The Rasmus will embark on the European leg of their tour celebrating the 15th anniversary of the “Dead Letters” release, together with Eddie Stoilow, whom they invited as their support act.
“Given the fact that we sing in English, we always wanted to play gigs abroad. Apart from supporting bands such as Simply Red, Kosheen or One Republic, presenting our music on prestigious American an British music serves & at the national level of the Eurovision Song Contest, we have also wrote and produced new tracks at the Tileyard Studios in London with the SONDER producer duo. The tour with The Rasmus is naturally a great next step,” says keyboard player David Šmíd.
He also added: “I would like to thank BrainZone International for arranging the leg with The Rasmus and I look forward to their other activities, which will be announced in October.”
Eddie Stoilow has been active for more than 15 years. Since then, they have recorded 4 studio albums featuring many hits, such as “Frozen”, “With You” or “Baby”. Currently, the band is preparing their 5th record, which is set to be released at the beginning of next year.
